Analisis Efektivitas Penggunaan Laboratorium Virtual Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep IPA Siswa Sekolah Dasar: Sistem Litelatur Riview
Keywords:
virtual laboratory, science concept understanding, elementary school studentsAbstract
Science education in elementary schools serves as a crucial foundation for developing students' scientific understanding. However, the limited availability of physical laboratory facilities presents a significant challenge. Virtual laboratories have emerged as an alternative solution to this issue, enabling students to conduct experiments digitally. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of virtual laboratories in enhancing the understanding of science concepts, motivation, and digital visualization skills of elementary school students through a literature review. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA approach. A literature search was conducted on the Google Scholar database for publications from 2019 to 2023, using the keywords “virtual laboratory” AND “science concept understanding” AND “elementary school students”. The selection process, which began with an initial pool of 4,030 articles, involved stages of identification, screening, and eligibility assessment, ultimately resulting in 6 relevant articles for analysis. The findings reveal that the implementation of virtual laboratories, such as PhET simulations and interactive e-books, has been proven to enhance both student activity and conceptual understanding in science education. The study concludes that virtual laboratories are an effective instructional medium for fostering meaningful learning experiences and promoting critical thinking and active participation in the learning process.
